Flying into Columbus

Columbus is served by a mid-size airport, John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). It serves all major US carriers, and has direct flights to 40 destinations in North America.

The conference site is about 8 miles from the airport.

Columbus is also served by Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK). Flights on low-cost carrier Allegiant fly through Rickenbacker Airport, serving multiple destinations in the Southern United States.

Transport Between the Airport and the Conference

From John Glenn International Airport, there are several convenient options for getting to the Hilton Downton and the Convention Center. Taxis are readily available 24 hours a day at the cab stand outside baggage claim. Uber and Lyft are also available. The 15-minute ride should run around US $20–30. Be sure to clarify that you are going to the Hilton Columbus Downtown on North High Street by the Convention Center to avoid any confusion with other Hilton properties in the area.

Attendees can also utilize the COTA AirConnect service, which runs every 30 minutes, from 6 AM to 9 PM, 7 days a week, from Arrivals and Ground Transportation. At only US $2.75 per trip, the AirConnect takes you to the convention center, downtown hotels including the Hilton, and back to the airport. The Convention Center stop is right next to the hotel and conference venue.

Getting Around Columbus

From the Hilton Columbus Downtown website:

The Short North and Arena District are within walking distance. Other transportation options include: complimentary usage of one of our six bicycles, and Columbus has an active bike-share program (CoGo Bike Share) with stations throughout the city including across the street from the hotel. In addition, there is a car share program: Car2Go.

The City has a complimentary CBUS bus service connecting the downtown neighborhoods of the Short North, Arena District, Downtown, German Village and Brewery District with specially branded buses with a stop right outside the hotel. The CBUS is a great way to explore the area without your own transportation and operates 7 days a week. There is a CBUS stop next to the conference venue.
