There are two excursions planned for MICRO 2019: the main excursion (and banquet) on Tuesday evening, and a bonus excursion after the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
The main excursion/banquet will be held on Tuesday (10/15) evening from 6 PM to 9 PM at the COSI Center of Science and Industry, an interactive science and education center, with great views of downtown Columbus.
COSI acts as both a nationally-recognized science museum and a research center, and has been inspiring the citizens Central Ohio in science, technology, engineering, and math since 1964. The museum contains hundreds of interactive exhibits and halls, including a dinosaur gallery operated in partnership with the American Museum of Natural History, replicas of the Friendship 7 spacecraft and a space station pod, and an extensive exhibit on ocean life.

Buses leave for the excursion from the main entrance of the Hilton (facing N. High St. and the convention center), with departures at 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM. Return buses from COSI back to the hotel start running at 8:30 PM.
MICRO 2019 will also offer a bonus excursion to the National Museum of the US Air Force, located on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton (about a 1 hour drive from Columbus). This excursion will take place on Wednesday (10/16) afternoon, after the end of the conference (from 1 PM to 6:30 PM).
The National Museum of the US Air Force is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world, featuring 360 aircraft on 19 acres, with exhibits ranging from the early days of flight, World War II, to the space program and future R&D.

Buses leave for the excursion from the main entrance of the Hilton (facing N. High St. and the convention center) at 1:00 PM. Lunch will not be provided, though we suggest picking up food at the nearby North Market. Return buses will leave the museum at 5:00 PM, with an expected return to Columbus by 6:30 PM..
