The 41st Annual IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture, 2008

Welcome Message from the General Chairs

As General co-Chairs of the 41st International Symposium on Microarchitecture, we would like to welcome you all to Lake Como in Italy. Lake Como (Lago di Como in Italian, also known as Lario from the Latin Larius Lacus) is a Y-shaped lake of glacial origin surrounded by enchanting hills. Autumn in Lake Como is the most colorful and fascinating season, characterized by leaves changing from green to yellow, amber, crimson, red and purple. Around Lake Como there are many interesting sites to visit: historical monuments, beautiful villas and breathtaking sights. Besides these touristic attractions, today the city of Como is a dynamic business city with a relevant past in the textile (silk). One of the campuses of Politecnico di Milano, the largest technical University in Italy, is located in Como.
