The Job Candidate Showcase at the IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture (MICRO) is a session for PhD students to present their dissertation research and gain visibility within the computer architecture community as they prepare for the job market.
Format. The presentation format will be a poster session and a lightning talk session. The showcase welcomes presentations on any topic in computer architecture. For examples, see the call for papers from MICRO.
Eligibility. Dissertation topic must be relevant to the computer architecture community. Students should have published in the community's rigorously peer-reviewed conferences or journals. Students should be within 1-2 years, before or after, of dissertation completion. Students closer to graduation will be given priority as other students can attend a future forum with more mature results.
Submission Requirement -- Research Statement. Two-page research statement including name, institution, advisor, contact information, estimated or actual graduation date. References to published work and relevant figures are welcome.
Submission Requirement -- Published Paper. A published (or accepted) first-author paper from the community's rigorously peer-reviewed conferences: ASPLOS, HPCA, ISCA, MICRO.
