MICRO-43 Student Travel Grants

As in years past, MICRO will provide travel grants to students and junior faculty. These grants are intended to partially cover travel and symposium expenses. To receive a grant, you must register for the symposium and pay in full at the appropriate level (e.g., student, ACM/IEEE member, non-ACM/non-IEEE member). Because the grants can only be used for reimbursing conference-related expenses, be sure to keep your receipts. These will be collected at the end of conference.

To apply for a grant, send email to Milos Prvulovic (milos at cc dot gatech dot edu) with the subject line "MICRO-43 Travel Grant". The body of the message should include:
  • Your name and affiliation
  • Whether you are a student or junior faculty
  • Whether you are a co-author of one of the papers in either the main symposium or one of the workshops (please give the name of the paper as well) and whether you will be presenting the paper
  • Your estimated costs. You should use coach-class tickets and the hotel cost should not exceed the double-occupancy conference rate at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. International travellers should use US-flag carriers.

Applications are due Monday, November 15, 2010. Priority will be given to students, especially presenters and paper co-authors. Applicants will be notified of their grant status and amount by November 22nd. Grantees will be expected to submit their original receipts at the conference.
