The 41st Annual IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture, 2008

MICRO-41 Student Travel Grants

As in years past, MICRO will provide travel grants to students and junior faculty. These grants are intended to partially cover travel and symposium expenses. To receive a grant, you must register for the symposium and pay in full at the appropriate level (e.g., student, ACM/IEEE member, non-ACM/non-IEEE member). Because the grants can only be used for reimbursing conference related expenses, be sure to keep your receipts. These will be collected at the end of conference.

To apply for a grant, send email to Pedro Marcuello (pedro dot marcuello at intel dot com) with the subject line "MICRO-41 Travel Grant". The body of the message should include:

Further instructions will be emailed to the applicants in few days after the application submission in order to be correctly reimbursed. Students must submit their applications at least three days before registering and making the flights arrangements.

Applications are due October 28th, 2008. Priority will be given to students, especially presenters and paper co-authors. We will also try to distribute awards to a large number of research groups. Applicants will be notified of their grant status by November 3rd. The final award amounts will be determined at the end of the conference.

MICRO-41 Companion Travel Grants

MICRO will provide funds for a limited number of travel grants to attend MICRO-41 for a companion care-provider for a conference attendee who is:

The only costs covered are those incurred solely for the transportation of the companion. Shared transportation expenses, such as taxis, and non-transportation costs, such as room and board, are not covered.
