As in years past, MICRO will provide travel grants to students and junior
faculty. These grants are intended to partially cover travel and symposium
expenses. To receive a grant, you must register for the symposium and pay in
full at the appropriate level (e.g., student, ACM member, non ACM member,
etc.). Because the grants can only be used for reimbursing conference related expenses, be sure
to keep your receipts. These will be collected at the end of conference from the award recipients.
Applications should be submitted after the final program has been announced.
To apply for a grant, send email to Hillery Hunter (hhunter at us dot ibm dot com) with the
subject line "MICRO-39 Travel Grant". The body of the message should include:
- Your name
- Your affiliation
- Whether you are a student or junior faculty
- Whether you are a co-author of one of the papers in either the main symposium or one of the workshops (please give the name of the paper as well) and whether you will be presenting the paper
- Your estimated costs
Applications are due November 15, 2006. Priority will be given to students, especially
presenters and paper co-authors. We will also try to distribute awards to a
large number of research groups. The final award amounts will be determined at the end of the
conference.
