Presentation and Poster Instructions for Authors

This message is to guide you, as a Micro-48 author, in preparation for your presentations at Micro-48. Please read carefully as there are instructions below describing how to prepare for the lightning and poster sessions.

The almost-final Micro program can be found here.

In addition to having a regular formal presentation slot at the conference this year, you will have the opportunity to present your work in two other sessions: the lightning session and the poster session. I describe below how each session will work.

  1. Instructions for your regular presentation:

Your regular session presentation is allotted a total of 20 minutes, including Questions and Answers from the audience. Please plan for a 16-minute formal conference talk, followed by 4 minutes dedicated for Questions and Answers.

  2. Instructions for the lightning session (Monday, December 7, 10:40am-noon):

The lightning session is the first session after the "Best Paper Nominees" session on Monday. It is a single large session, so I expect almost all conference attendees to be present in this session. All papers, except for the papers in the "Best Paper Nominees" session, will be presented in the lightning session.

  3. Instructions for the poster session (Tuesday, December 8, 4:00-5:30pm):
